Healthcare Professional Protection are an insurance company of the highest calibre supporting a wealth of health care professionals within various sectors. Brand Picks were hired to transform their business creating an identity that cohesively brought together the subdivisions and sub brands covering Aesthetics, Anaesthetists, dentists, spinal surgeons and more.

The brief

Healthcare Professional Protection is provided by MRSL Enterprise Limited a founder of Medical Risk Services Limited (MRSL), a proven and trusted partner to medical practitioners. MRSL have been offering support and expertise to the medical profession for more than 15 years, with key figures who have unparalleled experience across the medical, insurance and financial services sectors. The brand Healthcare Professional Protection was to be the umbrella brand for a number of medical professional services including Anaesthetists, dentists, spinal surgeons, surgeons and Aesthetic practitioners. One of the challenges with this brand project was to provide a brand that evokes confidence, strength and trust and above all a deeply embodied knowledge of the medical field. Healthcare Professional Protection is a premium insurance service tailored to each medical field which required a premium look that communicated each and every practice individually whilst also working as a consistent brand throughout.

The idea

The vision early on with this branding project was to create a brand mark that encapsulated all of the various medical professions under the Healthcare Professional Protection brand. It was felt that this would establish them as a front leader in medical insurance as they offer and tailor to so many groups of high end practices. This provided us us with an opportunity to conceptualise a formation of icons that identified the different areas such as dentistry and anaesthetists, aesthetics and surgery. The bringing together of these as graphics formed a basis for the main brand allowing for the breaking away of the individual elements or icons into each corresponding sub brand. This worked for consistency and also for communicating clearly the insurance company as a whole and its service offering to their clients.

Challenge 1

Understand the basics of the various insurance offerings for Aesthetics doctors, anaesthetists, dentists, spinal surgeons and surgeons alike. Looking into the professions and gathering a knowledge of branding communications within their field.

Challenge 2

Create an umbrella brand that stands with confidence, strength and voice within the industry, voicing their wealth of knowledge and visually expressing the nature of the insurance services they have on offer.

Challenge 3

Design a logical set of icons that work both together in one as well as work alone individually to identify the various cover policies on offer. The breaking away of the sub brands and how this would work best to create a wholistic set of brands to use throughout their organisation.
Learn and gain an understanding of the business and how it will impact and interact with its clients. Gain and understanding of the various sub brands and practices the brand would be in front of.
Create a brand mark that communicates clearly its mission and business as a whole that has the ability to be malleable for breaking away into the insurance policies and services they cover.
Logically and consistently create a set of logos consisting of one parent brand and around 6-8 sub brands that work together with impact and clarity.
Create a brand kit allowing the client to have access to all the brand marks in various formats ensuring they are well prepared for print and future use at scale.
Finalise all artwork files and documentation. Sign off on the project deliverables and provide further support where required.
