We enhanced their packaging enabling key features to stand out on pack and in addition provided Heylo with a new brighter and bolder colour pallet for the introduction and future of new products that help you to live your best low-carb life!

The brief

Heylo had grown and evolved as a brand. With this expansion it became apparent that their key selling features were not prominent on their packaging or communicating their key focus as a brand. Their colour pallet had become limiting for further product expansion which required a strategic approach to ensure a new bolder colour pallet had continuation from their existing brand colours whilst not loosing their existing brand identity.

The idea

To bring to the forefront the key wording and elements the current labelling needed to be looked at in detail. To see how best to bring in these features within a space that was already utilised It meant the reworking of the design to make room for a bold flowing ribbon that visually gave movement in an otherwise static and linear format. This helped to break away the key information to be noticeable against the other information. A new bolder colour pallet was developed from a variation of colour mock up ranges to place along side the existing range. There was a need for the bolder colours to give more presence whilst also retaining the current brand feel.

Challenge 1

Improve key communication and elements on their current existing packaging to provide awareness and further their brand position as brand leaders within the low carb category.

Challenge 2

Provide a complimentary bold and strategic colour pallet that allows the brand to further their product offering and transition the brand to stand strong with more shelf presence.

Challenge 3

Provide consistency within the current packaging and evolve the designs to have better narrative and flow for new content.
Analyse the current packaging and develop concepts dialling in on how their key information could be better displayed visually on pack.
Produce variations of the chosen concept to work throughout the product range with consistency through colour and layout.
Create a variation of product mockups to showcase a new chosen colour pallet that is workable for the product range.
Update the current guidelines and implement the new design throughout the range including new layouts and colour pallet options. Work the new design into new products going forward.
Finalise all artwork files and documentation. Sign off on the project deliverables and provide further support where required.
