Yu Glo - Coming Soon

Yu Glo are a new brand to be launched for 2023. Yu Glo provide beauty products aimed at the beauty conscious consumer looking to utilise the power of steam. The Yu Glo product is a hand held facial steaming device that cleanses, soothes and refreshes the face with localised application. We have created a unique branding and packaging experience for their first launch.

The brief

Yu Glo are a new brand to the market they were to launch into with the aim of being different and not just slotting in amongst their competitors. The aim was to be quirky in their approach and different whilst remaining relevant and identifiable within their category. The product was to emulate steam and water whilst also communicating warmth as the product produces heated steam. The common connection with steam being dominantly blue as a pallet provided a challenge. To effectively identify as being a hot steam product communicating heat and water was a key focus. The product features were also a consideration in how the packaging and product is perceived through model and product imagery.

The idea

A new branding solution has been put in place that gives movement to the logo focusing on giving the subliminal message of steam. The product was professionally photographed and enhanced to provide a bright and clear product on pack. Model shots were carefully considered created and reworked. Infographics feature heavily to give placement to all of the products key features communicating them easily for both online and on shelf scenarios. To tackle the challenge of warmth a temperature dial was designed to sit alongside the product showcasing that the product produces hot steam. Hand drawn bespoke illustrations feature heavily front of pack to give the unique look and feel Yu Glo were looking for. Bringing everything together coherently the pack is now well placed to sit confidently within its marketplace.

Challenge 1

Create a brand Identity for the new Yu Glo brand, researching the market to produce a brand that will stand confidently and proud alongside current beauty brands on and offline.

Challenge 2

Researching the product identify its key features and work them into a coherent and unique packaging design that communicates both steam and warmth whilst capturing their key audience.

Challenge 3

Bringing together the elements for this pack included bespoke illustration, infographic design, professional product photography and photo manipulation. All working together alongside the newly created branding and packaging layout.
Research the market and create concepts based on the brief taking into consideration the product itself communicating its key purpose and features.
Establish a branded look and feel through concept work providing various routes to take for the client. Variations of the designs Included bespoke hand visuals, photo manipulation and graphic mockup visuals.
Working on the chosen design avenue we created the packaging assets to a professional standard for product photography, model imagery and bespoke illustrative work including informative icons and further pack information.
Create and develop the pack on from feedback working on refining the packaging legals and key information preparing the packaging for print and production.
Finalise all artwork files and documentation. Sign off on the project deliverables and provide further support where required.
